He has been a Registered Architect since 1997 and has practiced in several states including New Jersey, New York, Connecticut, Massachusetts, Florida, South Carolina and Louisiana.

Art graduated Summa Cum Laude from the Manhattan Campus of New York Institute of Technology. Having graduated in the Top Ten of his class while attending night school, Art was able to maintain a full-time architectural position while attending college. He has obtained additional certificates from New York University and the Institute of Design and Construction. Art holds architectural licenses in New Jersey and New York, and is registered nationally through the National Council of Architectural Registration Board.

During the past twenty-plus years Art has practiced in the architectural profession, he has gained extensive experience in all facets of the practice. Beginning as an apprentice architect with Rubinstein and Scialla, Architects in 1986, Art advanced to chief architect and office manager while attending college at night. Together with Robert Scialla, who served as Mentor to Art, they established and developed a very successful partnership in Mendham, NJ. Seeking to further expand his professional experience, Art established his own practice from Butler, NJ in 1997, and relocated to Hackettstown in 2003. This office has grown successfully from inception, and currently employs three architects.

Art has gained a wide knowledge of not only architecture, but many aspects of the design and construction business. Serving in the capacity of chief designer, construction manager, owner's representative, and architect, Art has gained formidable experience in all aspects of the architectural business. From the many years involved with construction, negotiations, bid and award, planning and zoning analysis, and building code interpretation, Art has gained a wealth of experience enabling him to address projects of all scopes. Art has testified before many township planning boards, and has a working understanding of the planning and zoning process in the Tri-State area.

Together with fellow architect Justin Mihalik of JAM-Arch, Art has expanded his practice into Essex and Bergen counties, and Justin's latest commercial merger has offered the association the ability to tackle large-scale projects beyond residential.

We are also affiliated with Davis Frame timber-frame homes developing sustainable "Green" homes.

The hard work and dedication to the architectural profession has garnered many awards and accolades. Together with Robert Scialla, they won the Best Single-Family Restoration Awards in 2002, 1998, 1997, 1996 and 1995.
